My introduction to the fiction of Jack London is South Sea Tales, an immersive collection of short stories that rustled palm trees in my imagination and at times seemed to blow the aroma of banana leaves from the ally published in South Sea Tales (), House of Pride and Other Tales of Hawaii (), A Son of the Sun () and posthumously, On the Makaloa /5.
To give the present publisher credit, if you check inside to read the table of contents, it contains 10 stories, only four of which are from South Sea Tales, but the book cover can mislead a purchaser who is not careful (Amazon, at least, gives you the option of checking inside).4/5(75).
To start with, this is NOT "South Sea Tales." The original collection of Jack London short stories bearing that title is a collection of 8 stories as far as I have been able to determine, and only some of those appear in this collection.4/5(75).
